早在MEDC2007时关于Windows Vista的SideShow(Windows SideShow是Windows Vista才开始支持的一个功能，它主要面向高端便携式计算机的第二个显示器，可以在里面显示一些天气、邮件之类的信息。但由于成本太高，Windows SideShow一直没有很好地推广开)功能，我们已经多次见到，可以使用外部的显示屏与Windows Vista系统进行通讯、察看各种信息。之前的应用涉及到双屏笔记本、主板附带微型显示屏、背包、遥控器等，现在SideShow功能在Windows Mobile系统掌上设备上获得应用更是顺理成章！Windows Mobile系统的SideShow软件可以通过蓝牙与PC通讯，将来还可能加入WiFi等其他连接方式。

        近日SideShow for Windows Mobile Developer 终于发布了！它可以将你的Windows Mobile移动设备设置成一个蓝牙Windows SideShow设备，你可以通过移动设备的屏幕来控制电脑，Windows Mobile手机的SideShow上可以提供许多信息：例如：天气信息、Windows Live Mail、RSS、Media Player、PowerPoint、Outlook等。SideShow 的滑动效果类似Touch Diamond。Windows Mobile系统上的SideShow软件兼容Windows Mobile 5.0/Windows Mobile 6，必要条件是需要在你的Windows Mobile中安装.NET Compact Framework 2.0。

        Windows Mobile平台SideShow的推出，意味着微软在加强Windows Mobile和Windows联动方面迈出了新的一步，但是美中不足的是除了与Outlook和Media Player的同步以外，却没有和Media Center Edition联动起来(比如通过蓝牙，手机启动和控制MCE)。SideShow加入Windows Mobile，从一定程度上印证了张亚勤博士的3C理论即—Windows Mobile和Windows和互联网技术未来将走整合、联动的发展之路。我们对Windows Mobile的未来拭目以待。
